In June, Rep. Kim Eui-gyeom of the Open Democratic Party wrote on his SNS, "I will be investigated in detail starting with 'Heukseok Kim Eui-gyeom'."

The reason for the resignation of the Blue House spokesperson was the shopping district in Heukseok-dong, Seoul, as the reason.

Rep. Kim bought the shopping mall for 2.57 billion won in 2018 and sold it for 3.45 billion won in 2019, and it is known that the profit from the market price was donated.

Rep. Kim protested, saying, "I can bear the criticism that public officials bought a house with excessive debt, but the use of undisclosed information is never true."

He also said, "After a civil group made an accusation, the prosecution will not come to a conclusion until one year and eight months have passed," he said.

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission informed that "there are no new suspicions that have been revealed as a matter under investigation," but "we have sent it to the investigation agency to check whether the law has been violated."

This is the first time among government agencies that it has judged that there are suspicions.

Meanwhile, in June, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission announced that there were 12 Democratic lawmakers as targets for suspicion of real estate speculation.

Despite the party leadership's invitation to leave the party, only two proportional representatives were removed from the party, and 10 members of the constituency did not leave the party.

Among them, Rep. Woo Sang-ho, who was suspected of violating the Farmland Act, said that the police had recently cleared the charges.
