"Taking into account the unstable military-political situation in Afghanistan, in order to avoid the penetration of undesirable persons into the territory of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the mass entry of asylum seekers, temporary restrictions have been introduced on the issuance of visas to citizens of Afghanistan," Interfax reports.

An exception will be the issuance of diplomatic and service visas to diplomats and members of official delegations.

The issue of issuing visas to Kyrgyzstan for Afghan students is also at the stage of approval.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev discussed the situation in Afghanistan.
