We still do not know the name of the future president of the Independent National Electoral Commission (Céni).

Religious denominations are always divided on the choice.

Six religious groups are united behind the candidacy of Denis Kadima for whom they have submitted a file to the office of the National Assembly.

But Catholics and Protestants who oppose this candidacy hope to be received by President Felix Tshisekedi.

It's been a week since Catholics and Protestants officially seized the head of state.

In their correspondence,

they ask to be received

urgently.

But they still don't have an answer. 

They oppose the candidacy of

Denis Kadima

they consider too close to power.

At the office of the Head of State, it is explained that the file is on the table.

The president is an open man,

 confides a member of the cabinet,

 but there is a problem of agenda.

 "

Félix Tshisekedi has a busy schedule.

This Tuesday, August 24, he is due to travel to Zambia for the swearing-in of President Hakainde Hichilema.

He must then go to Lubumbashi for the funeral of the former president of the Provincial Assembly of Haut-Katanga Gabriel Kyungu, before flying to Germany and Italy.

If he wants - despite this program - to receive them, he will have to shake up his agenda,

 " adds one of his relatives.

In the meantime, the joint committee, responsible for proposing candidates for the various positions of the CENI, continues its work.

Its members, who essentially belong to the ruling majority, intend to submit their report by the end of the week… with only one candidacy for the presidency of the Ceni, that of Denis Kadima.
