Archery takes place at the Trocadéro on Wednesday for an afternoon where demonstrations and initiations will be offered in the presence of certain French archers from the Tokyo Olympic Games.

The event, which will start at 2 p.m. (health pass required), is set up by the French Archery Federation and the France Archery Organizing Committee, a structure which organizes the three stages of the Coupe du world in Paris from 2021 to 2023.

Several archers returning from Tokyo will be present, such as Lisa Barbelin, 2021 European champion and eighth finalist at the Games, Jean-Charles Valladont, Olympic vice-champion in Rio in 2016 and Thomas Chirault.

They will perform demonstrations with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop.

Licensees will also participate in the party.

Teams of four archers, associated with a champion, will be formed and will compete in small challenges.

The general public will also be able to shoot a few arrows and discover different disciplines such as field shooting, Beursault (ancient form of archery) or even 3D target shooting, notably representing dinosaurs.

Between now and the 2024 Olympics, archery will still be in the spotlight in Paris.

After a first World Cup stage in June in Charléty, the capital will host two new rounds in 2022 and 2023. They will serve as rehearsals before the big meeting of 2024, where the archery event will be contested. in the prestigious setting of the Esplanade des Invalides.
