An infant, aged one and a half, has been hospitalized in a very serious condition since Sunday noon at the CHU Pellegrin in Bordeaux.
Shortly before midday, he fell into an inflatable pool at a Travelers' camp in Libourne in Gironde.
His vital prognosis was engaged according to the emergency services.
At the time, the baby escaped the supervision of his parents before being taken out of the water.
He was unconscious.
The firefighters quickly intervened before helicoptering the infant to Bordeaux.
An investigation has been opened.
