"Emirates School Education" is preparing for the school year with a set of preventive measures and measures

The Emirates Foundation for School Education has completed all field preparations in preparation for the students’ return to their schools, coinciding with the start of the 2021-2022 school year on August 29, and the Foundation was keen to ensure the health and safety of students, teaching and administrative staff through a package of preventive and precautionary measures and measures that would secure Return of students to their classrooms without hindrances within attendance, while keeping the option of distance learning open to the guardian.

The Foundation indicated that its various field teams rushed to prepare the schools and ensure their readiness immediately after announcing the return of attendance education in the various schools of the country, as the sterilization of all government schools that will receive students upon their return, which numbered 564 schools in various regions of the country, was completed, in addition to drawing up plans. And the different scenarios for distributing students in the classroom in light of the application of physical distancing measures according to the decision of the competent authorities in the country.

The Emirates Foundation for School Education called on all components of the school community, including principals, teachers and parents, to the necessity of integrating roles to achieve a safe return for students in light of the current circumstances, in a way that supports the state's directions to return to normal life and overcome the Corona pandemic and the resulting effects that were reflected on all sectors, including education.

The Emirates Foundation for School Education worked to provide school uniforms for students for the next academic year in more than 110 outlets in various regions of the country, in order to save time and effort for parents, noting that no change was made to the school uniform compared to previous years.

Yesterday, the activities of the Professional Development Week were launched as part of the Foundation's preparations for the launch of the new school year 2021-2022, which targets approximately 25,000 school leaders, teachers, administrative and teaching cadres, leaders and teachers of kindergartens, where training bags were designed that simulate the nature of the exceptional return and in a manner that ensures the safety of all components of society. In order to enhance the role of school leaders in monitoring the extent of commitment to health and safety measures within the school corridors.

The Professional Development Week, which is held remotely in schools, focuses on the axis of safe return to schools and raising the readiness of school leaders, teachers, supervisors and all elements of the educational process, with the aim of achieving a safe return to schools as well as working to raise the skills of teaching staff in a number of diverse educational fields.

The Foundation stressed that school principals will implement precautionary and preventive measures in their schools with a specialized team inside the school after providing them with the necessary tools and appropriate training. For all the details related to his school and to work with what is necessary in order to correct its situation and ensure the quality and continuity of the educational process in light of the exceptional return of students in a complete manner to ensure the health and safety of students.

As part of its preparations for the academic year, the Foundation conducted a maintenance project for 10 schools and kindergartens, which included development work in the implementation of closing works for internal corridors (changing floors, complete modification of toilets, creating toilets for people of determination, creating a robot lab (smart learning), car shade works, works Playgrounds, in addition to maintaining fire detection and fighting systems, school clinics and their equipment, isolation rooms and school canteens, in addition to securing vital school services such as school buses and school feeding services in the 564 schools.

The Foundation has allocated the email FM@ese.gov.ae for schools to communicate directly with the Foundation in case they need any support regarding facilities and raise their readiness.
