22 August 2021 At the Parco di Collodi (Pistoia) dedicated to Pinocchio, starting from 24 August the courtyard of Villa Garzoni, the home dear to the author of the famous children's novel Carlo Lorenzini (1826-1890), will be accessible to tourists again since he worked there as mother Angiolina cook and waitress. The courtyard and internal portico of Villa Garzoni, after years of closure to the public, are therefore reopened, expanding the artistic-architectural offer of the park and this happens on the day when the town of Collodi celebrates its patron, San Bartolomeo.

You can also visit the characteristic Summer Palace designed by Filippo Juvarra (1678-1736), an excellent and rare expression of Baroque architecture in Tuscany, and the private chapel of the lords of the "castle-villa" which also hosted Napoleon.

Various initiatives are planned, starting from the traditional free admission to the parterre of the garden and to the monumental path of the Pinocchio park, from 6 to 7 pm, by reservation and provided with a green pass.
