| Hot Interpretation | On the morning of August 19, more than 20,000 cadres and masses of all ethnic groups and all walks of life in Tibet gathered in the Potala Palace Square to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet.

From July 21 to 23, the first local inspection after the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to the snow-covered plateau to congratulate the 70th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet and visit and sympathize with the cadres and masses of all ethnic groups in Tibet.

He went deep into the countryside, urban parks, railway hubs, religious sites, cultural districts, etc., and sent the care of the Party Central Committee to cadres and masses of all ethnic groups.

In Tibet, the general secretary said affectionately: “In the past 70 years since Tibet’s peaceful liberation, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee and the strong support of the people of the whole country, the cadres and masses of all ethnic groups in Tibet have worked hard and stubbornly, and the social system has achieved a historic leap. The society has achieved all-round development, people's lives have been greatly improved, and the outlook of urban and rural areas is not what it used to be."

What force caused the snow-covered plateau to undergo earth-shaking historical changes, giving the "third pole of the earth" full of vitality?

There is a spiritual "code" behind the leapfrog development.

General Secretary Xi Jinping once said: "Oxygen is the most scarce thing to work on the plateau, and the most precious is the spirit." From the "old Tibetan spirit" and the "two roads" spirit to the Kong Fansen spirit, the patriotic spirit of border protection, the Qinghai-Tibet railway spirit... …One by one, great spirits were born with the liberation and development of Tibet. Generations of Chinese Communists took root in the snow-covered plateau and used youth and passion to build a spiritual highland.

——"Old Tibetan Spirit": Let happy flowers bloom all over Tibet

A yellowed telegram in the Military History Museum of the Tibet Military Region records the history of the "Invasion of Tibet".

In March 1950, the troops marching into Tibet with the Eighteenth Army as the main force followed the important instructions of the Party Central Committee and Chairman Mao to "advance on the one hand, build roads, march on the other side, and build on the other side", advancing towards Tibet from multiple directions at the same time, pulling away. This marked the scene of the People's Liberation Army marching into Tibet and liberating Tibet.

At the expedition meeting, all the officers and soldiers solemnly swore: resolutely plant the five-star red flag on the Himalayas and let the happy flowers bloom all over Tibet!

This army marched 3,000 kilometers on the plateau, climbing over snow-capped mountains, wading across glaciers, and resting on grasslands, completing the historical mission of peaceful liberation of Tibet.

Tibet, which has just been liberated, has a backward political system and a "poor and white" economy.

This group of liberators, who had forgotten their lives to achieve victory, gritted their teeth and "built Tibet for a long time, and the frontier is home", dedicating their youth and even precious lives to the liberation and development of Tibet.

In these "old Tibet", the spiritual qualities of being particularly able to endure hardship, particularly capable of fighting, particularly capable of enduring, particularly capable of unity, and particularly capable of dedication have condensed into the "old Tibetan spirit."

——The spirit of "Two Roads": writing a glorious chapter in the history of road construction in the world

When the People's Liberation Army entered Tibet, Tibet was the only area in the country with no road access.

After the peaceful liberation of Tibet, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, the people of all ethnic groups in Sichuan, Qinghai and other provinces, as well as engineering and technical personnel, formed a road-building army of 110,000. They fought bravely under extremely difficult conditions, and at the cost of more than 3,000 heroes who died on the plateau. In 1954, the Sichuan-Tibet and Qinghai-Tibet highways with a total length of 4,360 kilometers were built, creating a miracle in the history of highway construction in the “roof of the world” in the “forbidden zone for human life”.

They used their faith and life to forge the "two roads" spirit of not being afraid of hardship and not being afraid of death, fighting stubbornly, being willing to be a road stone, being a military-civilian family, and national unity.

General Secretary Xi Jinping once pointed out: "The completion and opening of these two highways is a major achievement of New China under the leadership of the party. Unity and progress have played a very important role."

——Kong Fansen's spirit: loyal bones are buried everywhere in the green mountains, and blood is sprinkled on the plateau

"The misfortunes that happen to me are buried wherever I am." In the National Aid Tibet Exhibition Hall in Lulang Town, Linzhi City, Tibet, the diary of Kong Fansen shocked every visitor.

This Tibet aid cadre went to work in Tibet twice before his death. At the end of 1992, he was appointed secretary of the Ali Prefectural Committee. During his work, he traveled to 98 of the 106 townships in the region and traveled more than 80,000 kilometers. Friendship.

On November 29, 1994, Kong Fansen went to Tacheng, Xinjiang to investigate border trade matters, but was unfortunately killed in a car accident on the way.

When he first entered Tibet, he wrote that "loyal bones are buried everywhere in the green mountains, and blood is sprinkled on the plateau." He finally dedicated his life to Tibet.

Following in the footsteps of an example, batches of aid-to-Tibet cadres set foot on the snow-covered plateau.

Three years is the work cycle of a group of cadres in aid to Tibet, and many of them have chosen "three years and three years."

——Patriotic and border-guarding spirit: home is Yumai, country is China

"Home is Yumai, country is China." The eight characters made people know Zhuoga and Yangzong sisters and their father Sanje Tuba.

They live in Yumai Township, which belongs to Longzi County, Shannan City, Tibet. It is located on the border between China and India. It is the administrative township with the smallest population in my country.

In the last century, it was called the "Three Towns" by the outside world, because from 1983 to 1995, Yumai Township had only three heads, Sangje Quba, Zhuoga, and Yangzong. They silently Guarding this land.

"Home is Yumai, country is China" is the words of Sangje Tuba left to Zhuoga and Yangzong on his deathbed.

Soon after the closing of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping replied a letter to sisters Zhuoga and Yangzong.

In the letter, the general secretary said: "Your father and daughter have been silently guarding the territory of the motherland for decades. This spirit is admirable. I would like to extend my loyalty and dedication to you and to all those who have long been dedicated to keeping the borders and solid borders. Comrade, I would like to express my high respect and heartfelt thanks."

  …………

A great spirit always gives people the power to move forward.

Over the past 70 years, from darkness to light, from backwardness to progress, from poverty to wealth, from autocracy to democracy, from closed to openness, Tibet has embarked on a broad road.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Tibet has entered a new era with the best development, the greatest changes, and the most benefits for the masses.

The average annual economic growth rate ranks among the top in the country, the growth rate of per capita disposable income of rural residents has ranked first in the country for many consecutive years, and the urbanization rate has risen by 13 percentage points.

After unremitting efforts, 628,000 poor people have all been lifted out of poverty, and 266,000 people have moved from high mountains and far away bitter and cold places to live and work in river valley cities and towns. Tibet, together with the whole country, has built a well-off society on schedule.

Under the guidance of the great spirit, a more magnificent new picture will surely unfold slowly on the snowy plateau.
