Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed to pay 10 thousand rubles to all pensioners of the country this year.

He said this at a meeting with representatives of the United Russia party.

“I propose additionally for pensioners this year to make a one-time payment in the amount of 10 thousand rubles,” he said.

The President stressed the need to pay special attention to the category of citizens whose incomes directly depend on the state, and reminded that an indexation program is provided for pensioners.

“We proceeded from the assumption that an increase in pensions by one thousand rubles annually would exceed inflation.

Now the inflation rate and this thousand for the increase in inflation is eating up, ”the president said.

Putin explained that real inflation for senior citizens of Russia turns out to be above the average of 6.5% due to the structure of consumption: they do not often travel abroad and do not buy premium class items, but “by the range of products and items they buy, their inflation is higher than 6.5% ”.

Return to the scheme of indexation of pensions for 1 thousand rubles.

it will be possible after inflation returns to the set parameters, the president noted.

“In my opinion, this payment is 10 thousand rubles.

should affect all categories of pensioners: both working and non-working, and military pensioners who receive pensions from the relevant departments - the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, ”he instructed.

Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship Vladimir Gutenyov, in an interview with RT, expressed the opinion that the payments proposed by the president would give impetus to the development of domestic industry, since the money will eventually be used to buy various things.

“As we understand it, the money that pensioners will receive will be spent on consumption, first of all, of high-quality domestic inexpensive goods, so this will help both the national economy and pensioners,” Gutenev emphasized.

“This is a great offer that will delight retirees, and the money will not be superfluous,” he said.

In turn, Valery Ryazansky, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, suggested that about 500 billion rubles would be needed for payments.

“Somewhere around 40 million pensioners who receive an insurance pension, this amounts to 400 billion rubles.

Plus those who receive social pensions - we have about 3.5 million people - that's about 35 billion rubles (required -

).

Plus military pensioners, whom the president ordered to allocate 15 thousand rubles each.

We have about one and a half to two million military pensioners.

Somewhere up to 500 billion rubles will be required for payments, ”he said.

The senator added that "if there is an accumulated savings in the pension system, it will be used."

“Plus the transfer of funds from the federal budget for direct payments in accordance with the requirements.

Either it will be a presidential decree, or it will be a law in accordance with which these amounts will be paid, "he told RT.

We will remind, on December 17 at the annual press conference, President Vladimir Putin said that old-age pensions for non-working pensioners will also be indexed in 2021 by 6.3%.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the Russian authorities have taken a large package of measures to support citizens and businesses in the face of the spread of the infection, including helping families with children, the tourism industry, tenants and self-employed people.

Thus, Russians with children between the ages of three and 16 were able to receive a one-time payment of 10 thousand rubles for each child.

All Russian families with children under the age of three were able to take advantage of another support measure and receive a payment of 5 thousand rubles per child within several months.

In addition, the State Duma adopted a law according to which, from June 1, 2020, the size of monthly childcare benefits was increased to one and a half years for non-working citizens.

In addition, in Russia, since February 1, the size of a number of social benefits has been increased by 4.9%.

The indexation affected such payments as a lump sum for the birth of a child, a monthly allowance for childcare, a lump sum allowance for women registered with medical organizations in the early stages of pregnancy, and a lump sum allowance for the transfer of a child to a family. In addition, the increase will affect the disabled, war veterans and other categories of citizens.
