This year, a total of 70 bears will be shot in the county, ten more than last year.

55 in the western sub-area and 15 in the eastern.

It is the County Administrative Board that decides the number of bears that may be killed in the license hunt.

The County Administrative Board makes that decision based on the administrative goal for bears.

And the management goal is in turn determined by the Wildlife Conservation Delegation.

In addition to the County Administrative Board, the delegation consists of representatives of various interests affected by predators: the interest in the outdoors, the interest in nature conservation, the interest in hunting and game management, the forestry industry and agriculture and summer pasture farming.

The license hunt runs from 21 August and no later than 15 October.
