Controversial video of the Tunisian president citing a verse not found in the Qur'an!

Tunisian President Kais Saied was subjected to a wave of criticism on social media, after he cited in one of his speeches a saying that it was from the Holy Quran.

A controversial video of the Tunisian president has spread on social media, citing a verse not found in the Holy Quran.

Said said during a speech broadcast on Tunisian television, addressing the parties opposed to him: "Let them remember what the Almighty said (say the truth even if it is against yourself)."

The Tunisian president's mistake sparked controversy on social media because of his inference of a verse not found in the Qur'an, which some considered an unintended "gag".

Tweeters wrote sarcastic comments about the "gag" of the Tunisian president, who is known for his mastery of the law and the Arabic language.

Tunisia has been experiencing a severe political crisis since Said’s decision last July 25 to freeze Parliament and dismiss Prime Minister Hisham Al-Mashishi, as part of exceptional measures to confront the deterioration of the economy and the failure to manage the Corona pandemic crisis.
