Alexandre de Moraes was targeted by Jair Bolsonaro after ordering

an investigation

against the president himself for spreading false news when Jair Bolsonaro questioned the legitimacy of the elections.

The president accuses the magistrate of partiality.

In addition, he declares that he will also initiate impeachment proceedings against another member of the Supreme Court, Luis Roberto Barroso, in the coming days.

"

 Unfounded

"

Bolsonarist activists have long waged a social media campaign to remove all members of the Supreme Court and establish military rule.

A former MP was recently arrested after calling for anti-democratic protests on the National Day on September 7.

This is the first time in Brazilian history that a president has called for the removal of a member of the Supreme Court.

But the president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco, who is in charge of the file, has already said publicly that it was "

 without foundation

".
