The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai launched the "Dokan Bahja" initiative, to support the products of the youth projects of citizens, which will continue until the end of this year as a first stage, and offers exclusive discounts to the department's employees, ranging between 30% and 50% on the offered products.

The Director General of the Department, Lieutenant-General Muhammad Ahmed Al-Marri, stressed that the initiative aims to support young citizens who own small projects, especially those who do not have a way to display their products except through electronic marketing, and therefore the Department decided to allocate a pavilion inside the General Administration building, to facilitate direct meeting between owners Citizenship projects and employees, who represent the nucleus of the consumer audience.

He added that the initiative will support the continuity of Emirati youth in developing their own projects, in addition to creating competition among the participants to provide the best products, and work to develop them, which will reflect positively on the promotion of the renaissance of the Emirati product in general. The Head of the Happiness and Quality of Life Department at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Maryam Al-Maleh, stated that participation in the "Dokan Bahja" initiative, at the current stage, is limited to national companies that participate in the "Happiness" card presented to the department's employees and their first-degree relatives, adding, We have contacted the national companies, especially those that do not have places (stores) to display their products, and the public administration has allocated a place for them within its building without fees so that they can display their products directly to the public, and then have the opportunity to learn directly about prices and product quality. ».

She stated that the "Happiness" card offered by the Department to its employees includes approximately 2,500 entities that provide different services to them, and that offer them discounts on the prices of their products, pointing out that there are 200 national companies among these entities, so we communicate with them directly and offer them to participate in the initiative to offer Their products are on the management staff.

Al-Maleh indicated that the owners of national companies expressed their willingness to participate in the initiative, and since its launch last April, the initiative has hosted more than 20 companies that have offered their products, each of which has one week (five working days), but most of them expressed their desire to Duration extension.

She pointed out that the exhibits offered by the participating parties varied, including clothes, bags, perfumes, hotel services, and some foods such as sweets.

She stated that the exhibitors offer exclusive discounts to employees, ranging between 30% and 50%, which are within the conditions before any party requests to display its products in the administration building within the “Dokan Bahja” initiative, and among these conditions is the presence of exhibitors during the official working period from eight thirty in the morning until Three in the afternoon, pointing out that about 80% of the national companies participating in the "Happiness" card submitted requests to participate in the "Dokan Bahja" initiative, while other companies were unable to participate due to their unavailability during the official working hours.

She stated that the initiative is in its first phase for employees, and we think that it should be for employees and customers, and we are also studying that the products will be displayed in all branches of the offices of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs at the level of the Emirate of Dubai.
