"Dubai Ambulance" adds specialized vehicles to care for "premature babies"

The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services has added five new specialized ambulances to care for "premature babies", to provide a service for transporting stunted children between hospitals.

Khalifa Al-Drai, Executive Director of the Foundation, said: “In Dubai Ambulance, we are keen to monitor the needs of customers and develop our services in the interest of the advanced ambulance system. Treatment or receiving it in cases of premature birth, in which newborns may need special care, especially when their organs are incomplete.”

He added, "Our new vehicles are among the outputs of the project to renovate and rehabilitate ambulances, to maintain the sustainability of resources in the institution, as we have made many modifications to the internal and external equipment of the vehicles, such as the (Intrax) system, which allows the vehicles to be equipped easily and conveniently during emergency situations, and multi-transportation. , to give more internal space for the patient’s comfort, and the (Istech) system to monitor and identify technical malfunctions, in addition to the smart tracking system that receives reports, determines their location, classifies the patient’s condition, and sends them to hospitals eligible to receive the case.

The Foundation dealt with 132 cases of "premature" transfers during the first half of this year, compared to 173 cases throughout 2020.
