There are 48 films in selection, including 31 Italian premieres, from 29 different countries, selected to participate in the Festival and which will compete for the prestigious Asino d'Oro, the award for the best film that will be awarded by an international jury composed of leading personalities in the European audiovisual world: MASBEDO, contemporary Italian artistic duo, Jacqueline Lentzou, Greek director winner of the second prize at Concorto 2020, Niels Putman, coordinator of the Short Film Conference, Rimante Daugelaite, director of Lithuanian Shorts and Vilnius Short Film Festival and Pawel Wieszczecinski, founder of the Kinoscope streaming platform.



There will be focus on the relationship between man and nature, on the world of horror and fantasy and there will be space for works with a more innovative and experimental language. There will also be a review dedicated to the short films finalists of the EFA - European Film Awards, as well as the short films of the ShortER award with the best films from Emilia Romagna productions. 



Concorto has also been part of the Italian delegation for some years to the most prestigious world short film festival (Clermont-Ferrand), as well as the Short Film Conference, an organization that brings together the main short film festivals in the world, and collaborates with numerous international festivals ( including the InternationaleKurzfilm Festival in Hamburg, Encounters in Bristol, Short Waves in Poznan, Tampere Film Festival and InterfilmBerlin).



Among the titles competing in the official competition, the winner of the Sundance Film Festival 2021 Lizard by Akinola Davies will be presented in the Italian Premiere, as well as the latest winner of Orizzonti Shorts at the Venice Film Festival, Entre tu y Milagros by Mariana Saffon. Forget Your Face by Sameh Alaa, Palma D'Oro at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival and among the Italians The Nightwalk by Adriano Valerio, a documentary set in China at the beginning of the pandemic.
