The emergency stabilization of the southern structure of the Salzbachtal Bridge near Wiesbaden, which was damaged in mid-June, has been completed.

The fate of the special vehicle parked on the bridge, a so-called bridge viewing device, has not yet been finally clarified, according to Autobahn GmbH: "We are, however, hopeful that we will be able to secure the vehicle before it is detonated from the bridge," it said on Thursday at the request of the FAZ
