The updated situation in Italy and in the world



There are 7,260 new Covid cases in Italy in the last 24 hours, stable compared to 7,162 yesterday and above all to 7,270 on last Thursday, indicating a curve that is flattening out. The total since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 4,456,765. There are 206,531 swabs, 20 thousand less than yesterday, so much so that the positivity rate rises from 3.1% to 3.5%. The deaths are 55 (yesterday 69), for a total of 128,634 victims since the beginning of the epidemic.



Hospitalizations are still on the rise: intensive care is 18 more (yesterday +19) with 40 admissions of the day, and rise to 460, while ordinary hospitalizations are 68 more (yesterday +87), 3,627 in all. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health. 



The discharged and healed are 4,204,869, with an increase of 5,465 compared to yesterday, while the current positives rise to 130,502 with an increase of 1,720 cases in the last 24 hours. 



The region with the highest number of new positives is Sicily with 1,377 new cases, followed by Campania 647, Lombardy 627, Emilia Romagna 576, Lazio 548 (324 in Rome), Sardinia 451, Piedmont 254, Calabria 231, Liguria 212.
