28th of last month, about 1,640 men who did not receive the corona vaccine enlisted at the Nonsan Army Training Center in South Chungcheong Province.

After entering the training camp, they underwent gene amplification PCR test twice on the 29th of last month and the 9th of this month in cohort group isolation, and the results were all negative.

On the 10th, the second week of admission, the cohort quarantine was lifted and full-scale training began.

However, on the 16th, the first week of training, one trainee showed suspicious symptoms.

As a result of the rapid antigen test, the result was negative, but the retest the next day was positive.

PCR tests were conducted on the remaining 15 trainees living in the same dormitory, and 10 additional confirmed cases were confirmed.

Two PCR tests were negative during cohort isolation, and cluster infection occurred even though there was no contact with outsiders.

It is the same type as the case of 123 confirmed cases at the Nonsan Training Center between the 7th and 25th of last month.

The military also conducted PCR tests on 900 trainees and teaching assistants belonging to the same educational institution as the confirmed trainees, and two trainees have been tested positive so far.

In total, there are 13 confirmed cases, but the possibility that the number of confirmed cases will increase further cannot be ruled out.
