As reported by Sputnik Lithuania, on the eve of the Lithuanian Interior Ministry and the State Border Guard Service accused the Belarusian border guards of “violating the border”.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs demands that Belarus take all the necessary measures as quickly as possible to prevent a repetition of such incidents in the future,” the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda signed amendments expanding the powers of the military to protect the country's border.
