It is the balance of the day on Tuesday in the US, according to the Reuters tally reported by various American media. The deaths would have been 1,017, about 42 every hour, with an average now of 769 deaths per day. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic in the United States thus rises to over 620,000.
