“

Thanks to God and to the work of many people, today we have

vaccines to protect us from Covid-19

.

They give hope to end the pandemic, but only if they are accessible to all and if we work together,

 ”explains

François

in his message recorded in his native Spanish.

Vaccinating, with vaccines authorized by the competent authorities, is an act of love,

" he explains, as is helping most people to be vaccinated.

The Pope explains that this “

love

” of which he speaks passes through small personal acts of charity which are capable of improving societies.

“

To be vaccinated is a simple but profound means of promoting the common good and of taking care of one another

”, continues the Sovereign Pontiff in this message.

Vaccinated himself in mid-January, François has always been a staunch supporter of vaccine injection.

Just before the vaccination campaign in the Vatican he had deplored a "

suicidal denial

" of those who refuse the vaccine, explaining that it was to put his life in danger, just like that of others.

Getting vaccinated is a simple way to promote the common good and take care of each other, especially the most vulnerable.
