South Korea-U.S. joint drill, which North Korea demanded to be halted, has been going on since yesterday with the schedule and scale reduced.

On the 13th and 14th, before the start of the training, we asked whether the training should be maintained or expanded in order to switch between the ROK-U.S. alliance and wartime OPCON, or if the size of the training should be reduced in consideration of the corona and inter-Korean relations.

Keep or expand 64.3% and shrink 29.8%.

By ideological orientation, more than two-thirds of the conservatives and middle classes answered 'maintain or expand', and the progressives had a tighter opinion.

In the era of the 4th pandemic with around 2,000 new confirmed cases, when asked whether social distancing should be strengthened, 45.1% of the respondents said they strengthened the current level and 51% maintained the current level.

By occupation, self-employment and students' response rate of 'keep current level' was relatively higher.

[Jang Hyeon-joo / Next Research Opinion Office Advisory Committee: The results seem to reflect the difficulties of the self-employed who are currently the hardest hit by social distancing and students who have limited access to classes.]

Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Jae-yong Lee 'Positive evaluation' 73.7 %, 'negative evaluation' was found to be 21%.
