Xinhua News Agency, Moscow, August 17 (Zhang Zhihua and Liu Yi) As our military team participating in the "deep sea" diver competition took a -20 transport plane to land on the Iranian Chahbahar Airport on the morning of the 17th local time, our military went abroad to participate. More than 700 officers and soldiers from the 17 participating teams of the International Military Competition-2021" all arrived at the competition area, and weapons and equipment arrived safely in the same period.
According to reports, the 17 participating teams of our army came from the army, navy, air force, strategic support force, and joint logistics support force. They went to Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Iran to participate in 17 competitions.
This is the first time our military’s strategic support forces and joint logistics support forces have teamed up to compete abroad. They will participate in the "meridian" military surveying and mapping competition, the "automobile expert" auto soldier competition, and the "military rally" auto soldier driving competition.
Starting from August 8th, our military's participating forces and equipment have successively arrived in various countries through railway, sea, and air military projections.
In response to the impact of this year’s epidemic and the task arrangements for international military competitions, the transportation and delivery methods of our military's participating troops and equipment have been adjusted accordingly-the participating officers and soldiers are mainly military air transportation for point-to-point precise transportation; close to actual combat to pull troops, regardless of railway, sea, or air. For delivery, the participating troops maneuver to the designated delivery point to assemble in accordance with the combat readiness requirements, and dispatch multiple transport aircraft to fly during the voyage.
This year is the eighth consecutive year that our army has participated in the "International Military Competition."
This international military event has become an important platform for the Chinese military to learn from each other, cooperate closely with the militaries of other countries in the world, enhance mutual trust, and deepen friendship.
