(Fighting New Coronary Pneumonia) Ukrainian medical experts: There is no sign that the new coronavirus is produced by artificial recombination technology

China News Service, Beijing, August 16. The Ukrainian Interfax News Agency recently published an article by Ukrainian medical experts on the source of the new coronavirus, pointing out that there is currently no sign that the new coronavirus is produced by artificial recombination technology.

The author of the article is Solovyev A. I. He is the director of the Cell Signaling System and Experimental Therapeutic Pharmacology Department of the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and a doctor of medicine. He has twice won the Ukrainian National Science and Technology Award.

By tracing the mutation and evolution process of the coronavirus family, the author has studied and analyzed the source of the new coronavirus from the perspectives of pathology and biology, combined with the research reports of other international scholars, and concluded that there is no sign that the new coronavirus is artificial The result of recombinant technology is likely to be the result of evolution in nature.

The article stated that there is no indication in the genome of the new coronavirus that it has undergone directed evolution in the laboratory.

On the contrary, there are clear signs that the virus evolved under the influence of human immunity and before the outbreak in Wuhan, China, at the end of 2019.

This means looking for people who have been infected with the new coronavirus (or similar virus) before the fall of 2019.

The article also talked about the "conspiracy theory" of former US President Trump accusing the new crown virus from China.

The article pointed out that in April 2020, Trump claimed that the virus was either produced in the laboratory of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, or stored there, ready-made and “leaked”.

But American intelligence personnel countered that they did not have any evidence that the virus was of artificial origin.

According to the article, some scientists said that they still believe that viruses are variants that "jump" from animals, which are preferable to the "escape or leak" theory and "man-made" viruses.

Scientists hope that these theories will become the subject of full academic debate.

The author agrees with the above view and said that "scientists seem to be more likely to reach consensus than politicians."

The article finally pointed out that the source of the new coronavirus is global and needs to be treated with the most serious attitude.

Otherwise, the next pandemic may impose a huge burden on the global economy and cause the global financial system to collapse.
