The Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalili congratulated the Afghan people on the Taliban's takeover of the country and the "dear victory over the aggressor invaders."
The Omani Mufti wrote on his Twitter account, "We congratulate the brotherly Afghan Muslim people for the clear victory and the dear victory over the aggressor invaders, and we follow that by congratulating ourselves and the Islamic nation as a whole for the fulfillment of God's sincere promise."
He expressed his hope that the Afghan people will be one hand in facing all challenges.
Al-Khalili added, "We are optimistic, and we hope from God that this upcoming victory will unite the entire nation of Islam so that victory will come to them and they will liberate every inch of their occupied soil and save the weak from the yoke of injustice under it."
The Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman also expressed his hope that the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and all the occupied lands around it will soon, and "the nation will be washed away from the shame of the occupation."
