And about.

Maxim Rozsypalo, head of the anti-corruption service of the North-West Customs Department of the FCS of Russia, was detained under the article on accepting a bribe on an especially large scale (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to the investigation, the suspect could be in collusion with his colleagues - their names are not mentioned in the official communication of the St. Petersburg department of the Investigative Committee, and no new arrests are known.

"In July of this year, the suspect entered into a criminal conspiracy with other officials of the North-West Customs Directorate of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, aimed at systematically receiving bribes from a representative of a commercial organization for not accepting additional measures to check a legal entity during the customs clearance procedure," the UK said. ...

According to the investigation, Rozsipalo had an intermediary who communicated directly with an unnamed commercial organization and put forward an offer to the entrepreneur: $ 700 for each car passed through customs without hindrance.

According to investigators, Maxim Rozsypalo earned over 1 million rubles on this scheme, and 20 cars were allowed through customs without checking.

On August 16, FSB officers took the Federal Customs Service official red-handed.

The operative video, published by St. Petersburg investigators, shows how Maxim Rozsypalo accepts an envelope with money.

After that, FSB officers entered the room, handcuffed the man and escorted him to an auto laboratory, where they illuminated the detainee's hands with an ultraviolet lamp.

On the palms of the official, traces of paint were found with which the bills in the envelope were marked.

According to the article imputed to the official, punishment up to imprisonment for up to 15 years is provided.

In the near future, he will be elected a preventive measure, according to the St. Petersburg Department of the Investigative Committee.

The investigation insists that Rozsipalo be taken into custody, as he may try to use his official position to influence the course of the investigation.

The wife of the detainee, Maxim Rozsypalo, told Channel Five that her husband had been set up.

According to her, he always did his job properly and would not commit malfeasance.

“This is a foreign body in a burned-out system, a stranger working correctly, it is simply removed,” the channel’s interlocutor is convinced.

Maksim Rozsypalo has been in charge of the anti-corruption service at the North-West Customs Administration since mid-2020, that is, he managed to work in his position for a little over a year.

According to the St. Petersburg media, nothing is known about the achievements of the official in this post, but Rozsypalo was allegedly famous for his love of alcoholic beverages, which his colleagues knew well.

After the arrest of a high-ranking employee of the St. Petersburg customs, his old photos surfaced in the media and social networks.

On them Rozsypalo is captured allegedly in a state of severe alcoholic intoxication.

The wife of the detainee also commented on the "scandalous" pictures, telling reporters that her husband was a teetotaler, and the photos were staged.

According to Rozsypalo's wife, the footage was taken on a fishing trip, where Rozsypalo was invited by friends, and has nothing to do with his professional activities.

This is not the first high-profile case of corruption over the past month - at the end of July in Stavropol, the head of the regional traffic police department Alexei Safonov was detained on suspicion of bribery and organizing a criminal group.

Gold toilet bowls, tiered crystal chandeliers and large sums of cash were found in the official's house.

According to the investigation, Safonov received almost 20 million rubles for ensuring the unhindered passage of freight transport through the territory of the Stavropol Territory.

It is assumed that he did not work alone, but created a whole criminal group from among the leaders of the regional traffic police department with the aim of illegal enrichment.

Safonov and his alleged accomplices were taken into custody.

The man himself denies his involvement in the imputed crimes. The ex-head of the Stavropol UGIBDD also insisted that he had nothing to do with the design of the “palace” searched by investigators, which became the subject of ridicule on social networks for its tasteless design.
