15 August 2021 From tomorrow, a large depression area on Northern Europe, moving towards the south, will bring its effects on the northern Italian regions, determining conditions of marked atmospheric instability, especially close to the Alpine sectors. On the basis of the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection, in agreement with the regions involved, which are responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the territories concerned, has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions. Weather phenomena could determine hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities reported in the bulletin which can be consulted on the Department's website (www.protezionecivile.gov.it).       



From the early hours of tomorrow, Monday 16 August, there will be scattered rainfall, also of a downpour or thunderstorm, on Piedmont and Lombardy, in extension to Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The phenomena will be accompanied by strong showers, local hailstorms, frequent electrical activity and strong gusts of wind. On the basis of the published notice, a yellow alert for thunderstorms on Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and most of Lombardy and Piedmont was assessed for tomorrow.
