The French Pauline Ferrand-Prévot retained her title of European MTB champion on Sunday in Novi Sad in Serbia, two and a half weeks after her failure at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
After an hour and a half of racing, Ferrand-Prévot beat the Dutch Anne Terpstra (5th in the Olympic Games in Tokyo) in silver on Sunday and Anne Tauber (11th in Tokyo), bronze medalist for these European Championships.
At 29, "PFP" won his second European title after that won in 2020 in Monteceneri in Switzerland.
She will go in defense of her world title in two weeks in Val di Sole in Italy, she who already has three rainbow jerseys.
“It was a great day for me and I wanted this title more than anything else. I had a tough Olympic race and just wanted to do my best. It was pretty tactical at the start, then I attacked. and I tried to keep my speed, ”commented the Frenchwoman after the race.
