Is the fruit "drinking medicine" popular in the circle of friends again?

Don't be scared

Recently, several video clips of fruit "drinking medicine" are circulating in WeChat Moments. I wonder if you guys have seen it?

I took a look. Most of them are nonsense or exaggeration. Today I will list them and explain them one by one:

  Dragon Fruit Bubble Medicine

In fact, it is not uncommon, there were also bananas for soaking medicine before.

It is used here as a bacteriostatic agent and a respiratory inhibitor. On the one hand, it is anti-mold, on the other hand, it is to avoid premature ripening of tropical fruits, which is convenient for storage and transportation.

  Grape fight medicine

The grapes should be in paper bags. Remove the paper bags a few days before harvest, and they will turn red after a few days of drying.

There are two possibilities for spraying, one is gibberellic acid and the other is trace element fertilizer, which is used to accelerate the accumulation of polyphenols and anthocyanins in grapes.

Gibberellic acid is a plant growth regulator, and it is also produced by the plant itself. This thing was used to grow bean sprouts before, and its safety is actually very high. After all, too much use will have a negative effect on plants.

  Grape Drying Agent

This is the current routine operation for making raisins. In fact, it is an upgraded version of the alkaline noodles, which removes the wax on the surface of the grapes and makes the moisture easier to volatilize.

  Peach spray preservative

This is an old rumor, and some even say that spraying formaldehyde, don’t you find it irritating?

In fact, this is the normal operation before loading, to cool the peaches for easy transportation.

  Bayberry Sodium Cyclamate

This is not easy to judge. There are suspects in the video who are wearing the uniforms of supervisors.

I searched it on the referee document website. There was no case of waxberry with cyclamate, but there were waxberry saccharin and preservatives. In 2019, Linhai City arrested one.

This is illegal. Some people do it this way, but it doesn't mean that Yangmei did it in this way. You have to believe that most of them are fine.

In the past few years, the media or regulatory authorities have successively measured the data.

  Rock Sugar Tangerine Bubble Medicine

This should be cleaned normally, dried with hot air, and waxed to facilitate storage and transportation.

There should be a bacteriostatic agent in the soaked water, such as prochloraz, otherwise the citrus fruits are easy to rot.

As for "coloring", if there is, it is an illegal operation, but it does not affect eating.

Whole box of orange soaking medicine

The principle is the same as above.

Either you grow oranges yourself, or you have to accept fruits that have been processed by preservation techniques.

  Durian Bubble Medicine

It is soaked in turmeric water. Of course, if you add a respiratory depressant, it is completely understandable. After all, tropical fruits have to be transported and ripened.

  Sugarcane fight drugs

Sugarcane spraying medicine on the incision site is also a kind of bacteriostatic agent if you guessed it correctly.

Sugarcane comes with Arthrophyllum, a long-term storage and transportation may multiply to produce 3-nitropropionic acid, a highly toxic neurotoxin.

Let's start with so many, and there will be other messy little videos breaking the news in the future.

My experience is that it's mostly nonsense, especially pictures with worrying lines and soundtracks.
