Levent Valley in the state of Malatya (central Turkey) awaits lovers of nature and adventure, with its rock formations dating back 65 million years, its steep cliffs and ancient caves.

The valley extends for 28 km on the land road between the states of Malatya and Kayseri, and is considered one of the unique natural places in the world, and is formed by a series of caves, different geological rock formations, and high cliffs.

The valley contains remnants of the Neolithic period, very strange geological formations, slopes and hundreds of unique caves.

The glass balcony - which was built on a steep block of rock, overlooking the valley from a height of 104 meters - has become one of the most important places that attract visitors to the valley, and preparations are currently underway to hold many activities that adventure lovers prefer near the glass balcony.

In statements to Anadolu Agency, the mayor of Akcadağ, Ali Kazgan, said that large investments were made with the support of the (governmental) Euphrates Development Agency and the Presidency of the Eastern Anatolia Administration with the aim of attracting more tourists to the valley.

Kazgan added that they would like to turn the valley into a sports and entertainment center, where visitors can spend the whole day.

He pointed out that they are about to complete the construction of an adventure park in the valley, which includes 3 large swings on the slopes, a trampoline, a zipline, a glass bridge, in addition to a climbing tower obtained from the Istanbul Fire Department.

He pointed out that they also planned to establish a walkway and artificial waterfalls, in addition to seeking to transform the valley into a sports center where all kinds of adventure sports are practiced.

"We are also lighting the caves, and at nightfall the light emitted from the caves will give an atmosphere that suggests going back in time for two thousand years," Kazgan added.

And he added, "There are many visitors to the valley, but the interest in the valley and the demand for it by tourists will increase more with the completion of the projects that we are implementing."

Okan Chatlakjan (a visitor who came from the state of Adi Yaman in southern Turkey) said that he saw Levent Valley on social media and decided to visit it with his family, adding that the place was scary and surprising, and that he was very impressed with walking over the glass balcony.

As for Abbas Kaya, he explained that he had visited the place before, but this time he came to see the view from the glass balcony.

He explained that he suffers from a phobia of heights, but he gathered his courage and decided to go through the experiment, noting that he felt a different feeling as if his feet did not touch the ground.

Kaya stressed that the place will be much more beautiful after the completion of the projects implemented by the municipality in it.

As for Zafar Chatal from Kayseri, he said that he came to Malatya on a business visit, and while walking on the road he found a sign that read "The second largest canyon in the world", so he decided to see the Levent Valley and the glass balcony.

"The place is really worth a visit. Walking over the glass balcony gives a person a different feeling that he has never felt before," he added.
