A winning comeback for Christophe Galtier!

Three months after leading Lille to the league title, his new Nice team went to humiliate Losc (4-0) at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Saturday during the second day of L1.

Warmly welcomed by the northern public, the Riviera technician attended a demonstration by his team which outclassed the Dogues in distress.

Lille, who completely missed their start of the meeting, were completely absent from the debates and were logically sanctioned by attractive Niçois, very efficient and technically superior.

Kasper Dolberg offered himself a brace (1st, 64th), while Hicham Boudaoui (5th) and Amine Gouiri from the penalty spot (45th + 4) increased the score.

The victory in the Champions Trophy against a very diminished Paris SG (1-0) after a preparation marked by many defensive mistakes was apparently a sham since Losc had already conceded three goals last Sunday in Metz, not pulling the equalizer (3-3) until the last minute after having played for a long time in numerical superiority.

Best defense in the championship last season, Lille sinks in this area with already 7 goals conceded in two matches, almost a third of the total recorded in 38 days during the last exercise (23).

- Already 7 goals conceded -

One month before entering the Champions League, Lille displays a very worrying face.

And the absence on the sheet of Renato Sanches, who could leave the club before the end of the transfer window, is not likely to reassure the supporters who have found the stands of the Pierre-Mauroy Stadium without gauge after almost 18 months of absence.

With one point in two games, the defending champion is in 16th place before the other matches of this second day, while Nice temporarily took the lead with four units on the clock.

As in Saint-Symphorien last week, where it had cracked three times in twenty minutes, the Lille defense experienced a big slump at the start of the game and was punished by very efficient Nice people.

Indeed, even before the end of the first minute, Nice had already opened the scoring!

After a good overflow on the left side, Gouiri unleashed a shot rejected by Leo Jardim on Lemina, whose attempt was deflected on the post by the Brazilian goalkeeper from Losc, before Dolberg concluded closely (0-1, 1st).

Stunned, the Losc struggled to react and shortly after, the right side Zeki Celik made a big mistake which was expensive: he missed a full-axis heel just in front of the surface and the ball was taken without control by Boudaoui, who found the skylight (0-2, 5th).

- Untenable Dolberg -

The Mastiffs ended up reacting and stepped up their offensives, especially on the left side with Reinildo and Jonathan Bamba, but without managing to worry about a solid defense on the Riviera.

Lille monopolized the ball but totaled only one shot on target in the first period, a long shot from Burak Yilmaz kicked back by Benitez (38th).

Just before the break, GYM knocked out Losc by tripling the bet: Youcef Atal delivered a cross for Dolberg, who sent his header to the crossbar.

The Dane then took back the ball, which struck the arm of Benjamin André and after intervention of the VAR, the referee whistled a penalty, transformed by Gouiri (0-3, 45th + 4).

After the break, the Northerners, unable to hinder the opponent's recovery or put in speed, failed to get their heads out of the water and continued to sink.

On a corner from Gouiri, Dolberg, untenable and who had already failed to score a few minutes earlier on a beautiful pivot strike repelled by Jardim (59th), pushed the Mastiffs a little more by taking up a ball deflected by Dante with his head. (0-4, 64th).

Despite the encouraging entries from Jonathan David and Isaac Lihadji, Lille did not even manage to save the honor and will try to react next Saturday in Saint-Etienne.
