August 14, 2021A miner died and 19 others were trapped after a coal mine was flooded with mud in China's northwestern province of Qinghai.



The Chinese agency Xinuha reports this on its website. The incident occurred around noon when 21 people were working in the mine located in the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Haibei in the northwestern province of Qinghai, the provincial emergency management office said.



Two miners, one of whom died, were brought out of the mine located in the city of Reshui. The rest of the workers are trapped underground. Rescuers and firefighters are at work on the scene of the tragedy.
