At the time of the accident, there were 21 operators underground, 2 of them had been lifted (1 dead and 1 injured), and 19 people were trapped underground.

  After receiving the report, Huang Ming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Minister of the Emergency Management Department, immediately went to the command center of the Ministry to conduct video dispatch to guide the rescue and disposal work, and required the rapid organization of professional forces, full rescue and scientific rescue; carefully identified the cause of the accident, and pursued it in accordance with laws and regulations. Responsibilities, supervise all localities to further strengthen strict supervision and strictly prevent the occurrence of major accidents.

The Ministry of Emergency Management has assigned Deputy Minister and Director of the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau Huang Yuzhi to lead a working group and experts to the scene to guide rescue operations.

The leaders of Song Yuanming, Qiongse, Zhang Yongli and others participated in the video scheduling.

  After the accident, rescue forces such as the Qaidar Coal Mine Rescue Team and the Haibei Prefecture Fire Rescue Team immediately organized rescue efforts. The rescue work is still in progress.
