[The most beautiful new era revolutionary soldier]

Patrol 30,000 kilometers to guard the snowy sky road

——Remember Yang Fuxiang, Captain of the Second Brigade, Duty Detachment, Qinghai Corps of the Armed Police Force

"Chinese youth in the new era must take the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as their own responsibility, strengthen their ambition, backbone, and confidence to be Chinese, live up to the times, live up to their youth, live up to the ardent expectations of the party and the people!" On the morning of July 1st , Yang Fuxiang, captain of the Second Brigade, Duty Detachment, Qinghai Corps of the Armed Police, who is participating in intermediate-level training in Tianjin, watched the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with everyone.

After listening to Chairman Xi's important speech, he had mixed feelings and thoughts.

On July 1, 15 years ago, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway was completed and opened to traffic. From this day on, the officers and soldiers of the Qinghai Corps of the Armed Police took on the heavy responsibility of guarding the Tianlu. Yang Fuxiang was one of them.

This training in Tianjin is the longest time he has left the Qinghai-Tibet line.

Yang Fuxiang has been rooted on the Qinghai-Tibet line for 15 years, accompanied by birds and wild animals, loyal and dedicated, hardworking, patrolling more than 30,000 kilometers, and guarding the snowy sky road for the safe passage of more than 150,000 trains.

The Qinghai-Tibet Railway is the plateau railway with the highest altitude and the longest line in the world.

The average altitude along the line is over 4000 meters, and the oxygen content of the air is only 60% of sea level. Ordinary people will feel dizzy, chest tightness and wheezing if they walk two steps quickly. The common cold may cause emphysema and cerebral edema.

In 2006, Yang Fuxiang, who was highly qualified and confident, came to the patrol squadron of the Sancha River Bridge at an altitude of 4,050 meters as the platoon leader.

The first time he took part in the patrol mission with the team, he experienced severe altitude sickness. His comrades hurriedly inhaled oxygen for him, and it took a long time for him to relax.

That night, Yang Fuxiang remembered the request of his father, who had been a soldier, when he joined the army and left home four years ago: "We Yang family, we must be a good soldier when we are in the army."

The belief of "stay, persevere, and fulfill the mission" gradually became clear and firm in Yang Fuxiang's heart.

This stay is 15 years.

Yang Fuxiang was transferred to Tuotuo River Bridge at 4,533 meters above sea level and Kunlun Mountain Tunnel at 4868 meters above sea level. The officers and soldiers said that he was "youth spinning in the clouds." Conditions speak of contribution."

Because the squadron is located on the top of Kunlun Mountain, whenever there is heavy rain or heavy snowfall, the soldiers can only rely on human resources to carry their weekly supplies.

In the face of the harsh natural environment, Yang Fuxiang led the officers and soldiers to chant the slogan "One red heart and two hands, hard work for everything". With a spade and hands, he repaired a mountain road leading to the camp on the hillside.

Since then, the supply car has been directly sent to the squadron camp.

The facilities in the barracks were simple. He led the officers and soldiers to build walls, excavate cellars, purchase purification and disinfection equipment, and gain a firm foothold in the high-cold and oxygen-deficient no-man’s land.

The 109 National Road at the foot of the mountain of the Second Brigade on Duty has a steep slope and many bends, causing frequent traffic accidents.

Yang Fuxiang and his comrades in arms have produced a total of 15 "Finding Armed Police in Difficulties" Helping People's Cards and marking the help phone numbers to provide rescue or material assistance to the people in the past.

In January 2018, there was a sudden heavy snowfall on the Kunlun Mountain Pass, and more than 300 vehicles were trapped. The driver tried to call the number on the convenience card.

Yang Fuxiang, who was preparing to accompany the soldiers during the Chinese New Year, learned of the situation and hurriedly led the four soldiers against the wind and snow, took all the plateau medicines, supplies, and war preparation food on the mountain, and delivered water, food, and medicines one by one.

Due to the long-term hypoxic environment over the years, Yang Fuxiang gradually suffered from chronic altitude sickness mixed syndrome, gout and rheumatoid diseases. There are more and more medicines in the drawer, and he has to take a small amount of medicine every day.

But Yang Fuxiang said: “I would rather let life be overdrawn and not let the mission be in debt.” In the summer of 2014, due to a sudden rainstorm, a landslide occurred at the north exit of the Kunlun Mountain Tunnel.

At this time, there is less than 1 hour left before the next train passes.

The situation was extremely urgent. Yang Fuxiang and the officers and soldiers carried their hands on their shoulders to clean up the sand and gravel, and it took only more than 20 minutes to smoothly eliminate the danger.

Physical fitness is the basis for combat effectiveness, and cardiopulmonary function is the key to physical fitness training at altitude.

Yang Fuxiang often consults doctors in the Corps Hospital on the topic of how to improve cardiopulmonary function.

At first, they used balloons, holding their breath in the water, etc. for training, and later used mobile apps and group training requirements for training, and based on the situation of each squadron, worked with the chief officers to formulate scientific and feasible training measures.

The detachment has set up training halls in various barracks on the Qinghai-Tibet line with all kinds of training equipment.

"Training in the indoor training ground for 1 hour, we feel light all over." The officers and soldiers' anti-hypoxia ability and physical fitness have been comprehensively strengthened. During the execution of tasks, the occurrence of frostbite, falls, and muscle strains has been significantly reduced. The quality of training in a number of subjects such as enemy skills and physical fitness has also been significantly improved.
