Earlier this week, three individuals were arrested after illegally picking 96 kg of blueberries in the Ballons des Vosges natural park.
The product of this wild picking has not, however, destroyed.
The Vosges gendarmerie announced that it had distributed these blueberries to several nursing homes in the region, thus responding to the concerns of Internet users.
As a reminder, the picking of wild fruits is tolerated within a limit of five liters of berries per person.
Beyond that, offenders are liable to a fine and a prison sentence if they are caught with more than 10 liters.
