Swedish Marie about the Sicilian extreme heat: Society works worse - no one can work

This week, a full 48.8 degrees was measured on the Italian island of Sicily according to local authorities - and it may be the highest temperature ever measured in Europe.

The Swede Marie Wester lives in Termini Imerese and she says that there is only one thing to do about the heat.

- You sit indoors in air conditioning, she says.
