August 13, 2021 The president of the Sicilian Region, Nello Musumeci, has signed an ordinance which, among other things, prohibits people without a green pass from entering public offices.

On the island, for the second consecutive day, the number of new positives exceeds a thousand, as had not happened since May 6, and Sicily is in the lead for the daily number of infections.

The measure also provides for the recognition of the unvaccinated population and fixed vaccination sites in municipalities with less than 60 percent vaccinated.

The order of the Sicilian governor establishes that those who are not vaccinated will have to use only the telematic method to interact with public offices. The use of the mask outdoors is mandatory if in crowded places, a swab is required to participate in ceremonies if the vaccination cycle has not been completed and a swab is mandatory even for those arriving from the USA.

On the census of the unvaccinated population, the ASPs will have to provide general practitioners and pediatricians with lists of their patients who have not yet been vaccinated so that the health professionals can invite them, individually, to carry out the vaccination.

It is mandatory to always carry the mask with you and to wear it also in all particularly crowded places open to the public. In private ceremonies it will be possible to participate only with a swab carried out in the previous two days, with the exception of those who have completed the vaccination cycle.

Finally, the obligation to swab, in Sicilian ports and airports, even for those arriving from the US or via who have passed through in the previous 14 days. The control is already foreseen for those coming from Malta, Portugal, Spain, France, Greece and the Netherlands.

Obligation everywhere, even in military canteens and public security forces

Obligation to have a green pass also for the canteens of the Armed Forces and Police Forces, following the indications provided by the Ministry of Health. Thus government sources, after internal circulars had been issued in recent days that exempted the "compulsory service" canteens of the military and law enforcement from presenting the pass.
