Rick Spinrad, CEO of NOAA, said: "July is typically the hottest month of the year but this 2021 has passed as the hottest month on record. This record adds to the disturbing and disruptive path that climate change is taking. to the entire globe ".



Here are some of the numbers for July: Earth's surface and ocean temperatures were 0.93 degrees Celsius higher than those recorded in the 20th century making this month the hottest month in 142 years, higher than both July 2016 and July. 2019.



In the northern hemisphere, the temperature of the earth's surface was 1.54 C higher, surpassing the previous record, also in July, in 2012.



If we look at the regional areas, Asia has the record followed by Europe. 



"Scientists around the world have highlighted how climate change is evolving and how the influence of human activities is, unequivocally, behind mutations and are rapidly intensifying," confirms NOAA's Spinrad.
