It was at 4 pm that a man in his 35s was beaten in Värnamo.

The police have arrested two suspects, but a third person must also be involved in the assault.

- It was a man who was called by an acquaintance and then he was asked to come out of his home.

When he came out, there were three people waiting for him.

They attacked and beat him, says police spokesman Thomas Agnevik.

The beaten man has been robbed of his phone and keys.

He is said to have suffered facial injuries from the assault.

Had his child with him

When the man went out, he had his child with him.

The child must have been taken from him, but must not have been physically injured in connection with the incident.

- He had with him a minor child that one of the men grabbed and held. It was a rather threatening situation for the child.

I do not want to go further into age, but it was a very small child, says Thomas Agnevik.

"No spontaneous break"

The police suspect that the men already knew each other.

According to the police, this was not a spontaneous crime, but a planned act.

- We do not assess that there is any risk for the public in Värnamo to be exposed to a similar event.

The crime is classified as robbery, aggravated assault and unlawful deprivation of liberty.
