Details of the killing of 5, including a child, in a mass shooting in Britain

In just six minutes, a man shot and killed five people, including a three-year-old girl, with a rifle in Plymouth, in southern England, in an incident police said was linked to domestic violence.

Mass shootings are rare in Britain, which has low rates of gun ownership, and Thursday's incident was the worst in more than a decade.

Today, Friday, police said that the shooter, Jake Davison, 22, a crane operator, added that he pointed his weapon at himself after killing the five victims yesterday evening.

Devon and Cornwall Sheriff Shaun Sawyer said police found no motive for the crime, but they did not suspect terrorism or any far-right organisations, although they had searched Davison's computer.

"We believe it was a domestic (violence) related incident that took to the street and saw several people killed in Plymouth in an unusually tragic circumstance," he told reporters.

The shooting began at around 6 pm yesterday, and the accused first killed a 51-year-old woman he knew inside a house, then rushed outside and immediately shot the girl and her 43-year-old relative.

Two passers-by were seriously injured during the shooting and then the accused entered a park, where he killed another man and woman.

Then the shooter pointed his gun at himself before the police could deal with him.

The incident lasted a few minutes.

A police official said the suspect in the Plymouth shooting had a gun license and his accounts on social media had been viewed, especially after British media suggested he had psychological problems.

Women and Obesity

On a YouTube account called “Professor Waffle” canceled in the morning, the young man can be seen complaining about the difficulties he faces in meeting women and losing weight, describing himself as “obese.”

Likewise, he says in his last videotape, "I have no intention of doing anything anymore," expressing his regret that he is "always in the same house and in the same situation."

It was clear from this account that the firearms appealed to him.

Home Secretary Priti Patel spoke of "horrific" incidents, while Prime Minister Boris Johnson affirmed his solidarity with the families of the victims of "this tragic accident."
