After several burglaries in northern Sweden - now Malå and Norsjö light the street lamps

During an autumn week in 2020, more than 20 burglaries were committed in the police area where Norsjö and Malå are included.

Since then, the municipality and the police have knocked on doors and explained how the municipality's residents can protect themselves against the burglary leagues.

Now the police suspect that the leagues are back again and the municipalities have, at the request of the police, decided to turn on the street lights already in mid-August.

- Some of the experience does not want what happened last year to have to be repeated, says Malås municipal councilor Lennart Gustavsson (V).
