Abu Dhabi Police broadcast a “video” revealing that some drivers deliberately harassing vehicles advanced on the “overtaking path” and sticking to the vehicle from behind, causing drivers to be dangerously confused on the roads, which may sometimes reach a state of stubbornness, which leads to painful traffic accidents as a result of lack of Appreciating road users and leaving an adequate safety distance to allow for the sharing of the road and the flow of traffic.

She pointed to the dangers of some drivers harassing the vehicles traveling in front of them and approaching them to a close distance and forcing them to clear the way for them by constantly using reflective lights and horns, which distracts the driver of the front vehicle and increases the risk of traffic accidents.

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate in Abu Dhabi clarified that the fine for not giving way to vehicles with priority coming from behind or from the left "overtaking lane" is worth 400 dirhams.

She pointed out that the violation of "not leaving a safety distance between vehicles" is one of the main causes of traffic accidents on the roads, and explained that causing the accident as a result of not leaving a sufficient safety distance is applied to Law No. Seizure of the vehicle is 5,000 dirhams, provided that the vehicle is impounded until the financial value is paid to release the seizure and for a maximum period of three months. Drivers who violate by not leaving a sufficient safety distance behind the vehicles in front will be fined 400 dirhams and four traffic points for the driver of the vehicle.
