The Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi identified three reasons for divorce in the first years of marriage in the Emirati society, including poor communication skills and conflict resolution between spouses, the lack of quality time spent by spouses with each other, in addition to the delay or failure to seek help from specialists in family and marital relations in its early stages.

The department called on spouses to visit the Taqahwa platform (the first digital platform in the emirate to enhance marital relations between Emirati families) to register and request consultations.

In detail, the Executive Director of the Monitoring and Social Innovation Sector at the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Laila Al-Hayas, confirmed that the results of studies revealed that about 62% of Emirati couples are exposed to divorce during the first four years of their marriage, so the “Tahwa” platform was designed with the aim of providing support And guidance for couples who face difficulties in communicating, understanding and resolving marital disputes, especially those related to understanding and communicating with children, which may lead to family problems between spouses.

She indicated that the pilot phase of the "Tahwa" platform will be activated by specialists in the field of family relations from the private sector, under the supervision of the Family Development Foundation.

For its part, the Department of Community Development reported that the Taqahwa platform is the first digital advisory platform in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi that aims to enhance family cohesion and provide marital counseling by a group of licensed professional advisors and specialists at a time that suits the couples, noting that with "Tahawy", the programs can be benefited from. Motivational in spending the most beautiful moments and times with family members, and gain awareness and skills that help in strengthening and consolidating marital relationships through an easy-to-access platform that preserves their privacy.
