The department of the North heavily vaccinated.

As of August 10, two-thirds of people over 12 have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the department.

And the proportion rises to 80% for those who received their first injection, announces the prefecture of the North, in a press release.

A figure much higher than the national average which lists 56% of people fully vaccinated and 67% who received the first dose.

Between 76 and 92% among those over 65

In detail, we see that among people over 65, considered at risk, the rate of fully vaccinated people varies, depending on the age group, between 76 and 92%.

A relatively low rate in view of the risks involved.

However, it is rather towards adolescents (12-17 years) that the prefecture asks to "maintain the vaccine dynamic (...) and amplify it".

One in two has received the first dose and a quarter of this population is vaccinated.

"Amplify the vaccine dynamic"

"Faced with the threat of the Delta variant and the increase in the circulation of the virus in our region, everyone, including young people, is called upon to continue to be vaccinated quickly and massively by the end of August" , indicates the prefecture.

And to recall that liberal professionals in the region can now have doses of Pfizer vaccine and that a vaccination bus crisscrosses the department, according to a precise schedule.
