Twenty-seven years ago, she went to the podium for the first time after graduating from a master's degree student and staying in school. She was worried that she just thought "must do well in class." Nowadays, even though she is on the podium, she still thinks about "how to teach the class." Get better"... She is Lei Jing, a professor at the School of Electronic Science, National University of Defense Technology.

For more than 20 years, Lei Jing devoted himself to scientific research and cultivating talents, and became the person in charge of national quality courses. He has won honors such as "National Excellent Teacher", "Advanced Individual for All-Military Women's Contributions", and "Golden Award for Educating Talents in Military Academies".

In 1990, Lei Jing, who had just graduated from university, walked into my country's first satellite launch center, Jiuquan Launch Base, for a year with a dream of serving the country.

In the vast Gobi, Lei Jing received the baptisms of "winning glory for the country and contributing more to the progress of mankind", "for national construction, not bowing to difficulties in the face of difficulties" and other spiritual baptisms, which also strengthened her life goal of dedicating herself to education.

In 1994, Lei Jing graduated from the National University of Defense Technology and stayed at the school, and began to contact the "Information Theory and Coding Fundamentals" course teaching.

Recalling that year, Lei Jing said with a smile: "The initial idea was very simple, that is to make the class as good as possible." She first listened to the class for a year, and listened to the relevant courses again, pondering the style of each teacher, and figuring out how. Integrate its own characteristics.

Before every class, Lei Jing prepared for the lesson wholeheartedly, how to write on the blackboard, and which words to rely on to "shak the burden", she wanted to know clearly.

She proposed a set of "fun teaching methods" to make obscure academic knowledge easy to understand.

Students often lament: "Mr. Lei's classroom has magical powers."

The famous educator Suhomlinsky said that educators should discover the endowments, interests, hobbies and specialties of every student, and provide sufficient conditions and correct guidance for their performance and development.

Lei Jing very much agrees with this educational philosophy and puts it into practice.

Su Kaifeng is a grassroots cadre from the Xinjiang Border Defense Forces. In 2007, he was selected to study at the National University of Defense Technology.

For a period of time, he felt very strenuous in studying and he was under great psychological pressure.

After Lei Jing learned about the situation, she often went to Su Kaifeng to have a heart-to-heart talk and help him solve problems and puzzles in his studies.

With the help of Lei Jing, Su Kaifeng successfully completed the subject "Application of wireless sensor network positioning technology in plateau border control" and graduated with honors.

Lei Jing not only cultivates students' study and thinking habits, but also focuses on cultivating their living habits and character.

The 2012 undergraduate Lai Ke started taking Lei Jing's class in his junior year. Lei Jing helped him broaden his horizons based on his learning characteristics.

In order to improve Lai Ke's practical and design abilities, Lei Jing encouraged him to participate in various competitions and also experimented with him hand in hand.

From undergraduate graduation design to master's degree, and now to doctoral degree, Lei Jing has taken him across the mountain of knowledge one after another in the past five years.

The most memorable thing about Lai Ke is his experience of writing his first English essay.

At that time, he was full of confidence in his English writing ability, and soon handed over the paper to Lei Jing.

But when he got the paper back, he found a dense number of suggestions for revision.

After making changes back and forth five or six times in this way, Lai Ke felt bored.

Lei Jing solemnly warned him after she noticed it: "Learning must strive for perfection, otherwise you will not be sorry for yourself, and you will not be respected by others." Lai Ke deeply feels self-blame and understands the principles of learning and being a human being.

Finally, his paper was published by SCI journals.

It has been Lei Jing's habit for many years to engage in scientific research, squatting on the front line, and mastering first-hand data.

At the end of December 2016, Lei Jing and the research team came to a remote base in Henan for more than ten hours.

Because of the needs of the test, the daily test work can not be ended until late at night.

The night was cold and windy, even though her hands and feet were already frozen, Lei Jing still stayed on the front line.

Colleagues in the research group persuaded her: "Professor Lei, you go down the mountain and rest first, here we are watching." Lei Jing smiled and said: "I can't enjoy privileges just because I am old and a lesbian. Don't take refuge."

In recent years, Lei Jing has undertaken eight school-level, two provincial-level teaching reform topics, and two national-level teaching reform topics.

She led the teaching team to earnestly study and comprehend the new concepts and methods of modern education, and actively tried new teaching models such as online classrooms, flipped classrooms, and virtual experiments to continuously improve the teaching level of teachers. Many members of the teaching team won national, Hunan, and school awards. Waiting for the first prize in the teaching competition.
