The minister said this during a meeting with members of the Tavrida art cluster.

“A week later, another Sabbath will take place - the Crimean Platform, where the West will continue to nurture neo-Nazi, racist sentiments of the modern Ukrainian government,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry quoted TASS as saying.

The minister also called the shameful position of the Western countries, which encouraged the coup in Ukraine.

He drew attention to what is happening with the Russian language in Ukraine and "how they try to insult the free expression of the will of the people of Crimea in every possible way."

The Crimean Platform summit is scheduled for 23 August.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the representatives of the Ukrainian authorities "masochists" in connection with their intention to hold an international summit of the "Crimean Platform".

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
