12 August 2021 A vast fire has been going on for hours near the towns of Prime Case and Pomonte, in Fara Sabina, in the province of Rieti.

The fire, on which several fire brigade teams and civil protection volunteers are still working, broke out in the morning on Mount San Martino and then reached the inhabited centers during the day, in particular the hamlets of Prime Case and Pomonte.

Two helicopters also operated on the fire all afternoon, with repeated launches until sunset but no Canadair of the Civil Protection as engaged on other fronts.
