12 August 2021 From 1 April 2020 to 31 July 2021, 6,113.0 million hours of layoffs were authorized for health emergencies, of which: 2,638.0 million ordinary CIG, 2,139.7 million for the ordinary allowance of solidarity and 1,335.2 million CIG in derogation.

In particular, the authorizations refer to: 30,510 companies for the ordinary CIG with a number of hours equal to 79.1 million, to 34,028 companies for the ordinary allowance with 82.1 million hours and 25,397 companies for the CIG in derogation with 16.3 million hours.



Regarding the ordinary layoffs, the sectors that absorb the greatest number of authorized hours are in order: "manufacture of mechanical and electrical machines and appliances" with 13.7 million hours, "construction" with 10.2 million hours, "metallurgical" with 9.9 million hours; the sectors "textile and clothing industries" and "manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers, semi-trailers and means of transport" follow with respectively 8.4 and 6.1 million hours.



These five sectors in terms of authorized hours absorb 61% of the authorizations in the month of July. For the redundancy fund in derogation, the sector that has had the highest number of authorized hours is "commerce" with 6.6 million hours, followed by "transport, storage and communications" with 3.4 million hours, "hotels and restaurants" with 3.2 million hours. These three sectors absorb 81% of the hours authorized in July for wage supplements in derogation.



In July 2021, the sectors that had the most hours authorized in solidarity funds were: "hotels and restaurants" with 26.9 million hours, "real estate activities, rental, IT, research, business services" with 18.7 million hours, "trade" with 13.0 million hours.



From a regional point of view, it is noted that Lombardy had, in July 2021, the highest number of authorized hours of ordinary CIG with 16.5 million hours, followed by Campania and Lazio with 13.7 and 6 respectively, 3 million hours.



For the CIG in derogation, the regions for which the highest number of hours were authorized were: Lombardy with 3.5 million hours, Lazio with 2.8 million hours and Piedmont with 1.9 million hours.



For solidarity funds, the authorizations are concentrated in Lombardy (21.4 million hours), Lazio (14.9 million), Campania (6.6 million), Veneto (5.8 million).
