Big green posters with sunflowers, but it's not a campaign by the Greens, it's against them.

The sunflowers hang their heads, next to it stands “Destruction of Prosperity”, “Climate Socialism”, “Ecoterror” or “Totalitarian”, “Socialist”, “Hostile to Homeland”.

On the website of the campaign with the name “Green Dung” there are short polemical presentations of the green top politicians, as well as a call to spread the campaign and to donate for it.

The website is financed by the Conservare Communication GmbH agency, whose managing director is David Bendels.

He is also editorially responsible for the content.

Bendels was formerly a member of the CSU and one of the founders of the “Conservative Awakening”, the forerunner of the union of values.

In 2016 he left the party, since then he has been chairman of the Association for the Preservation of the Rule of Law and Civil Liberties and since 2017 editor-in-chief of the AfD-affiliated Deutschland-Kurier.

"Right dirt campaign"

The green federal manager Michael Kellner spoke of a "right-wing dirt campaign" "AfD-related actors with dubious financing". As a source of money, Bendels named "donations from medium-sized companies and committed citizens" to the T-online platform. The fear of the right was palpable, wrote Kellner in an email to supporters of the party. But you won't let it push you back a millimeter and, on the contrary, you will fight twice as hard, hang up twice as many posters and knock on twice as many doors.

The Cologne-based marketing company Ströer, which posted the “Green Mist” campaign, has also come under fire.

The Schleswig-Holstein Environment Minister Jan Philipp Albrecht (Greens) even appealed to local authorities on Twitter not to give Ströer any orders if the company does not disclose who is financing the campaign against the Greens.

In the past, the Association for the Preservation of the Rule of Law and Civil Liberties had produced posters and brochures calling for the election of the AfD in several election campaigns.

When the Bundestag administration initiated the examination of whether it was an illegal donation, the party leadership had further campaigns for the association in favor of the AfD prohibited by a court.
