Chinanews.com Toronto, August 10. The Chinese Consulate General in Toronto revealed on August 10 that the consulate first cooperated with a domestic notary office in late July to conduct overseas remote video notarization pilot work.
Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, compatriots in the consular area have difficulties returning to the country to handle matters involving major property disposal.
The Chinese Consulate General in Toronto, under the guidance of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cooperated with the Toronto Chinese Visa Application Service Center on July 27 and cooperated with the National Notary Office of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province to handle remote video notarization for a compatriot in the consular district.
After the applicant completes the identity verification through the WeChat applet of the domestic notary office, he will go to the Toronto Chinese Visa Application Service Center at the appointed time, witnessed by the staff, and connect with the domestic notary office through video connection to successfully complete the relevant procedures for entrusted notarization.
The notarial certificate will be collected by the trustee in the country.
The Chinese Consulate General in Toronto stated that the launching of overseas remote video notarization pilots is another measure to carry out "I do practical things for the masses".
The Consulate General will continue to innovate working methods and strive to provide more efficient, convenient and considerate consular services to compatriots in the consular district.
